 Anan started  his  career in  investment  banking  and  corporate  finance  and  then  transitioned  into  a  successful  entrepreneurial  role  directly and operationally involved in startup businesses in industries such as manufacturing/marketing of consumer products. He  is  also  an investor  in  startups, early  stage  and  late  stage  venture companies  and  public  equities  with  a main  focus  on Digital Healthcare, Data  Science and AI, and Blockchain  technology.

Anan earned a BSc in Automation Engineering in 1974 from City University, London, England, MS in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University in 1975, and MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 1977.
